Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus (IDR+) operates as a not-for-profit organization based in Northern Illinois and was founded in 2003. The goal of IDR+ is to rescue animals in need, to place them into responsible homes, and to educate the public about the Doberman breed. Rescue animals come from animal control organizations, humane societies, and owner give-up situations in Illinois and surrounding states. Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus not only rescues Dobermans, but their “Plus” division also features other purebreds, mixed breeds, and cats!

Doberman Rescue Alliance of Wisconsin (DRAW) volunteers have extensive rescue experience working with the Doberman Pinscher breed, and although our rescue is small, we have assisted with the successful placement of hundreds of Dobes, and have come together to strengthen the rescue network. Our foster homes are comprised of experienced and loving volunteers. All potential adopters are fully evaluated, including home visit and background check. We follow up with each adopter, and require that in the event an adopter can no longer care for the dog, it be returned to DRAW so we can ensure each dog’s safety and happiness throughout their life.

Chi-Town Pitties (CTP) is a small, foster-based rescue, committed to leading with our heads rather than our hearts, to help quality dogs find quality homes. We work closely with area shelters to get as much information as we can about the dogs we take in so we can be as prepared as possible to provide for their needs as we place them in well-matched foster homes. If you would like to join our team of fosters, expect us to have a close ongoing relationship with you as you help your pup get ready for their permanent home.

Second City Canine Rescue (SCCR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is largely volunteer-operated. We are dedicated to serving the homeless dogs of Chicagoland, as well as branching out to other areas (such as Oklahoma, Indiana, Kentucky, Southern Illinois,Texas, & Michigan) – wherever homeless dogs & puppies need us. We are extremely selective about the dogs we place and temperament test each and every adult dog prior to adoption from our program. Our goal is to responsibly place dogs with solid temperaments that will make loving family pets.

Tiny N Tall Rescue (TnT) is a 501(c)3 that was established in 2017, after recognizing the need for a rescue dedicated to the tinies and talls of the canine world. They are comprised of volunteers dedicated to providing temporary shelter, veterinary care, and behavioral support for small and giant breed dogs as they transition into carefully selected homes. They rescue tiny breeds under 25 pounds and giant breeds. Their rescue is all foster-based and they rely solely on donations.

Midwest Border Collie Rescue, Inc. (MWBCR) is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization; volunteers, a board of directors and voting members govern Midwest Border Collie Rescue, Inc. Their organization serves the Midwest states including, but not limited to, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan.

Cairn Rescue USA (CRUSA) is a 501c3 rescue group that is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Cairn terriers and "mostly Cairn mixes" throughout the United States

Midwest Rescue of Illinois, Inc. is a small, but passionate, 501c3 rescue group that is dedicated to rescuing Bully breeds in the Chicago area.

Wish Upon a Rescue is a non-profit Illinois-based animal rescue focused on saving the lives of homeless animals while providing the community with extensive education, outreach, and support. They believe in going above and beyond the status quo of rescue and are committed to providing innovative care and support for their animals’ physical and emotional health.

It’s A Pittie Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabbing, and re-homing the Pitbull breeds and educating people about one of America’s most loyal and kind breeds, one dog at a time. Their dogs are placed into loving, caring foster homes until they are ready to be adopted by their responsible new owners.

Camp Cocker Rescue is an animal rescue group with a focus on Cocker Spaniels in high-kill shelters. Their mission is to take on dogs with health conditions that require vetting and costly medical procedures, get them the proper care, and find them loving forever homes.
